At the 127th AES Convention in New York, Tube-Tech will introduce the RM 2, a new two-slot rack designed to vertically accommodate any two Tube-Tech M Series tube-based modules.

The new two RU frame is designed to enable the user to own multiple Tube-Tech modules and one small two-channel rack. The RM-2 is designed from the ground up for tubes, according to the company. The power supply and internal voltage rails are specifically built for tube-based electronics, offering much higher supply voltages than the modular 500 racks can offer.

The EM 1A passive tube equalizer module is an exact copy of the “classic” CL 1B Pultec-style program EQ. The EQ combines both shelving (LF) and peaking (HF) EQ sections, together with a filter section. The all tube-based, optical CM 1A compressor is designed for both recording and mixing and is equally suited for a wide-range of applications, from delicate vocal recordings to critical instrument processing.

Pricing
The expected MSRP for the new Tube-Tech RM 2 is $1,500.
