The MS400 is a yamaha powered speaker in abs.
It contains two amplifiers, 300w for the 100W for the serious and acute.
They use technology EEEngine Yamaha. Translate high power (400W) and low power consumption (150W).
Yamaha must use a G or H polarization for his amps. In practice it works very well even if it lacks punch compared to the traditional amplification. This is not a pure product Yamaha "made in japan" simply because it's Inter M which designs and manufactures the chamber as a very large part of the sound produced by the famous Japanese (and other brands such as EV / Dynacord , mackie amps for ...).
The Hps are Eminence: A beautifully crafted 38cm Neodymium is a model of order.
psd an engine 2002 of conventional construction (not neodymium) against well known.
Reel 2 'output 1', 105dB performance. It does not rise above 15Khz.
The frequency response ranges from 80Hz to 15kHz for a spl of 124dB.
The whole thing is molded ABS construction with serious, even if the plastic is easy to scratch, and weighs 24 kg It embeds a mini mixer with microphone input and line input with three doses (xlr male / female and TRS) connected in parallel (very convenient, they can be used to distribute the signal to two destinations, one or two MS400 for example).

A very good product, clearly the best choice at the time, with absolutely no reliability problems, the MS400 is indestructible. Today, there are other choices. I think particularly with the new art of Rcf that are really a synthesis of what is the best, the small-definition 310A is excellent for weight (14kg) low.
The Mackie sa1530/sa1232/sa1532 are very nice but also heavy and bulky.
