3G Sounds Sample Delay Calculator App
English venue-based mixing and mastering service 3G Sounds launched on the AppStore a new Sample Delay Calculator app.
Designed for both studio and live applications, the Sample Delay Calculator app is designed for users who need to time align speaker systems and microphones for direct sound (no for diffuse sounds as those reflecting from walls and other surfaces).
The app works on the Speed = Distance / Time equation and uses accurate derivations to compensate other imperfections, including air temperature.
The delay is specified in milliseconds and samples for further use in the digital mixer, DAW or speaker management controller. 3G Sounds adds that imperial units will be included in a future update, which also expands the number of available languages.
