IQOYA *MOBILE is designed to transform your iPhone into an MPEG-2 L2 and AAC recorder/editor, mobile IP codec. Armed with an iPhone, you can record audio, edit, add content and send to the studio either live audio over IP or recorded material through FTP file transfer. All you need is an internet connection, 3G or WiFi.
Furthermore, when establishing a connection from the iPhone to a studio equipped with a 100% software codec such as IQOYA V*CALL, broadcasters can use end-to-end software solution. IQOYA V*CALL is an IP audio codec running on a laptop or desktop PC, optimized to interface with IQOYA *MOBILE. Both solutions are N/ACIP compliant, offering interoperability and a choice of audio codecs. IQOYA *MOBILE is also compatible with third party IP codecs in N/ACIP mode or RTP symmetrical mode.
An optional mic preamp extension (to be plugged into the iPhone headphone/mic jack) can complement the application. It allows you to use your preferred microphones during interviews rather than what some may perceive as an excessively intrusive smartphone.
The app is not available yet but will be coming soon.
