Satellite is the name of this 70s Moog synthesizer that AudioThing sampled and worked in a library for Kontakt.
The original Moog Satellite synth used a single VCO and presets for different instruments (brass, strings, reeds…). AudioThing explains that it may have been built as an add-on for electric organs.
The sample library built from this instrument offers two versions: one with the original detuned synth and a correctly tuned one. You’ll find 433 samples in WAV 24-bit / 44.1 kHz, 13 presets and the GUI for Kontakt reproduces the original controls: envelope section with attack and release, filter with cutoff and emphasis, modulation, glide, vibrato, tremolo as well as various options for the different instruments.
Satellite is available for 14 € at www.audiothing.net. Note that you can only use the WAV files without Kontakt.
