Friday’s Freeware: Pano
No panorama plug-in this week, but the first project of French developer Noise Makers, with an unlimited demo version.
PANO (stands for Procedural Ambient Noise Orchestra) is a virtual multichannel synthesizer that generates dynamic ambient noises and textures in real time on Mac OS X and Windows.
PANO comprises two elements: the PanoComposer is a standalone software that features two granular synthesizers, 32-sub-band noise additive synthesis, 4 filters for subtractive synthesis, 4 loopers and a pad-type morphing editor. It accepts your own WAV loops. With the PanoComposer, you’ll create presets that will then be played in the PanoPlayer VST, AU and AAX plug-in. The latter also includes a real time morphing pad, width and spatialization controls (with binaural and multichannel support), and parameter automation.
PANO is available for 49 € but Noise Makers invites you to download the fully functional and time unlimited trial version. The only restriction with this demo is that you cannot use it for commercial purposes.
