Installation is no problem.
It is about something very simple: a bank loan sample to be loaded into Kompakt Instrument
Reminder on Kompakt: You can apply multiple effects in real time filter, pan / tune / volume envelope (volume, filter and a free envelope), a synchronizable LFOs, reverb, delay, chorus and another Equalization filter

SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

Morphology consumes about 7 / 10% of a CPU core 2 duo 2.5GHz with a layer charge, playing 10 simultaneous notes
Reminder: the software was released in 2004. Official Site: http://www.zero-g.co.uk/index.cfm?articleid=787

OVERALL OPINION

I was able to have hands Morpholy in a limited time thereby forcing yourself to go to the essentials.
The question I ask myself every time is: what software is it the coup against the purchase price and the competition (synth, sampler CDs, software ...). This product contains t it true originality compared to a realization "home-made" made from his own creations or multiple manipulations of samples and takes.

Morphology contains few surprises but I must admit that despite praise from many magazines, I am personally very disappointed despite the great sound quality content.

The beast is organized into 8 families: Atmospheres, Drones, FX, Harmonic Loops, Industrial, Synths & Pads, Virtual Synth, Voices

Many of the sounds available in Atmospheres are actually on the principle of a UAV, ie it generally takes a note and sample runs alone. Difficult to do something radically different and therefore the source of your sound is easily identifiable. Him: "hey you have you used in your piece morphology!" You: "ah? Euhh no no ...." Personally love the sound, I do not fond of this fact.

UAVs is exactly the same problem but the sounds are really nice. Level atmosphere, it is used especially if one is in cinématographiquess styles, drum n bass and industrial.

Fx full of nice little effects and long to grind a little. We recognize as the rest of the library achievements including Absynth Native Instruments elsewhere.

Harmonic Loops still offers some nice sounds but what? use the sample in wave directly into the DAW was almost utiile and practical as it is when that whole "one-shot sample" (one finger is enough to play!).

Industrial Loops: For once I would have associated with FX because overall the two meet.

Synths & Pads is used especially in respect of music and trippy electronica (Aphex Twin, Boards of Canada ...).

Virtual Synth: Here we are in basic sounds like it was at the time on the Akai samplers. Is it really useful here? It is for bank users ready and not experienced hackers. Otherwise, why bother buying a Morphology, Absynth and buy as much create everything yourself!

Voices: mmmh we touch the field of my favorite sounds and what a disappointment, not for quality even if it is withdrawn nonetheless interesting but 14 presets ... it remains largely on his hunger! damage
Conclusion: we will still tell me I'm too demanding, but given the prices, you'd better be careful! Morpholgy is not a synth but a "store sample ready to be loaded." Nothing new from the "old days" of samplers and other disks or SCSI hard drives. Quality increases but possibiltés editing (especially of deformation and thus customization) remain far too limited but widespread use of "one-shot sample" that bothers me most <img class="smiley" src="/images/audiofanzine/interface/smileys/icon_cry.gif" alt="" />
