« Is green, that's all ... »

Value For Money : Excellent
Here we present an analog overdrive with its name and color are reminiscent of a bestseller Ibanez ...

Not much to say. From classic.
A tone, gain a Level: necessary and sufficient.

on the other hand, and what this plastic pedals are very cheap ... This is confirmed by 100% plastic knobs that are too light do not turn round and have the game
Incidentally, it is not delivered in a box but in a transparent blister like a cheap toy ...
But hey, this is not the most important ...

UTILIZATION

Very easy to use, so.
Not bother to extend too much on the issue.

SOUND QUALITY

Ouch!
This is where it is striker, because the song does not relate entirely to feathers!
I own an Ibanez TS9, and it clearly has nothing to do, or even remotely. Green color and evocative name will remain the only clear commonality between the two.
Not only the miracle "Tube Screamer at 25 €" has not occurred, but in addition, there is not even the vaguest resemblance whatsoever, and I did not feel like having for my 25 €!
The sound is compressed, without any scale, and the dynamics is severely eaten. As long as we stay with the Tone below 1 / 3 and with very little gain, it remains almost usable. Not pretty, but usable. If you go up the gain, you end up with a sizzling crunch hyper transistorized really very ugly. And if you go up the tone, the sound is not only disgusting, but it becomes more shrill.

In the end, I see only two possible uses for this pedal actually:
- A bad boost for the channel of an overdriven amp
- A pedal-to-use way to get very specific sounds very "special", very bombastic (in this register is only unflattering to what was intended as a "analog overdrive" I sometimes branch).
Its more than a caricature, then, a great amp is not enough to save.

OVERALL OPINION

I have this thing for two and a half years. I have not sold it because I do not wish harm to anyone.
I bought it because I wanted to base, coupled in series with my TS9, the SRV. It is ultimately almost unusable as it sounds bad.
Although it is very inexpensive, value for money remains in my view, disastrous. Compared to other brands of pedals "cheap" (Artec, Aria, Danelectro ...), it was not even for money.
Those who seek a sound way TS9 or TS808 gain time to move very quickly on their way. The miracle did not happen.
Incidentally, it was almost immediately reliability problems. Sometimes more means of turning it on ... then it comes back ... the power plug has never worked ...
Avoid it, so ...
