A tone
A drive
Volume One
A switch
An 'alim 9 volt
A guitar input
Output to the amp

The overdrive from a clean to a big warm OD.

USE

Very easy. 2 minutes and it's good.
The tone range is very effective, not obliged to acute thoroughly for the presence for once.

SOUND QUALITY

2 possible uses for this pedal in my opinion:
- On his clear:
We start with a very very close bypass the sound with the drive to 0, the pedal really respect the original sound, amount to 1/4, it has a slight overdrive, still in the mind of the amp (Here Laney LC30), but less fat, drier. Plenty of attack and presence.
A 1/2, it is already in the big crunch with dual coil pickups, the sound does not change color, still very dry and set, full of attack.
Spent half the gain does not change too much, a bit more sustain, that feedback more easily and lose a little definition in my opinion. I prefer to leave it in half. The tone remains half for me, there are plenty of acute reserve the shot.

- On Crunch
The amp is already crunch (Laney LC 30 4/10 gain with a LP Burstbucker # 2) pedal set the volume to half or quarter gain a little more, and adds tone in the middle of the attack and little gain, presence in the treble. Very cool, it gives the impression of being the attack and the presence of the amp when playing at higher volume efficient flat, it adds a "plus" very flattering.
As against this better hear the bread ...
[edit] Actually gain presence is probably due to a slight hollow in the bass. The pedal a little food, in fact, I feel that the pedal compresses the spectrum.
This is very good on the clear sound of the amp, it eats a little low on the crunch but it's still a good boost for solos, if the bass are not the priority.

NOTICE GLOBAL

I used a lot of model distortion pedals and OD, the one I used in boost until now was the Marshall BB-2, very good too, but I think it is more appropriate to me eventually!
The only downside is that it eats a little low, not a big problem for me, but it must be reported.
I used a boost in crunch mainly rather at home to add to the attack and the presence at the moment, I will test it at higher volume to see if it is really useful to me later.
Very good pedal, it not cost much used, why pay more?
