Published on 04/12/11 at 12:13overdrive pedal the TS9 clone (it incorporates the electronic circuit of the ibanez) with more adjustment, analog technology, true bypass and very attractive metal box super robust, well built, fairly heavy the battery cover is convenient but to remove the battery is a pain because they are too narrow in the slot. The trick is to wrap a piece of Scotch around in a tongue sticking out on which one will pull out the battery.
UTILIZATION
use it only slightly easier, the switch is faithful to what we can expect from this type of pedal, the adjustment is rudimentary, a volume, a drive, a tone, and another small switch that acts (very slightly) on the tone of the drive: TS / bright / warm, my preference is for the bright that adds a bit of transparency ..
knob to "drive" which is either minimum or background does not change much but the saturation is not very serious (in my case) because like most overdrives, this is Light saturation for blues or rock and roll is good traditional Sufis, the volume is up and running its entire run, the tone is too efficient, I use personal between half and three quarters of its course but not more to avoid screaming treble
SOUND QUALITY
in terms of sound, the saturation is faithful to the pedal TS, a good tight grain but boosts good sustain, this pedal sounds and warm colors if your starting out amp sound like it's already hot often the case with amp simulation lamp, it can parettre too (for my taste) as well as the bump in the medium, if your ambition is to have a saturation without too much heat this pedal is inappropriately, you should choose a model called "transparent" if you want a hot tube screamer type, so no need investire € 120 in a ibanez, for 26 € (neuve!!) you get a result simillaire ..
OVERALL OPINION
very good quality construction, this all-metal "boiboite" to look fabulous and is also the historic brand eficaces copy it, except the volume pot of drive which is not very active on his race and the galley to exit the nothing can stack reproaches to this pedal mostly less than 30 €!
