SOUND QUALITY

For my part, I just customized my OD-808 reissue, replacing the JRC chip installed in next-generation standard by a former JRC chip in 1984. In short, the sound is now much, much warmer. We can now truly speak of his creamy, very different from what the OD-808 restored until then (and before the manipulation, the sound was already very good). In short, I believe that now my OD has definitely become one of the best tubescreamers available. Because it also respects, and more than before, the sound of my guitar (Gibson Les Paul Signature Gold Top, 1974) and my amp (Princeton clone homemade). the link for the change: bruynooghe.fr
For the manipulation, you need a good soldering iron températre adjustable, the desoldering braid a noose to wedge the pedal and of course a former JRC chip that can be found on Ebay, but more and more rarely (station so the price!). Finally, it is better not to risk it when you're not so sure of himself or entrust this job to a specialist. I think now put a true bypass switch brand or Fulltone Banzai. I see

OVERALL OPINION

Super Tubescreamer

Added: blends perfectly with a Roland Jazz Chorus (the 50 in my case). I was really surprised, because so far I only used that with my Hot Rod.
