«  An overdrive tends very strongly to the fuzz ... »

The pedal has therefore two completely independent parts: a (clean) boost and an overdrive.
We can use one or the other party alone or both together.
Supply DC 9 V (+ external).

UTILIZATION

The setup is very common for this type of pedal.
Boost for boost in dB and Gain, Tone & Volume for the overdrive.

SOUND QUALITY

To boost the party, there is nothing to say and it makes very good job.
However, for some overdrive, there is a big problem. With the tone and the gain in more than half the overdrive behaves just like a fuzz. That is, the sound is "chopped" and limited as a dirty fuzz. It is so far from warm overdrive and purring!
Some may like it but I definitely would not call it overdrive ...

OVERALL OPINION

I just tested it in stores but did not convince me at all.
I still tested other od the passage to see. There was the MC402 which was such a nasal sound ... Even the small MXR od was well in hand.

Clearly, the highlight of the pedal is the boost and in this case it is better to turn to mc401. Part overdrive not worth the trouble for me.

Basically I wanted a distortion pedal for a boost, why it worked well or very well, but the overdrive on a clean me cold.

It is special and I highly recommend you to try it before you buy!
