«  the new holy grail? »

Published on 02/26/13 at 12:36
This pedal is an analog boost / overdrive / distortion.

Each model is unique hand painted, handmade and signed by Dad.

It is supplied with 9V or 18V. It seems that 18V, it has more headroom ... I personally have never tried to kill myself ...

a switch true bypass, 3 knobs (volume, gain and tone) + 2 switch (bass boost mode selection and pedal)

3 modes of Plexi pedals, Symmetrical Overdrive and Clean Boost

Note that:
- It is very light,
- Clean boost mode is the mode with the largest volume out, I challenge anyone to exceed one third of the volume
- Volume buttons and knobs are gain to guts, not that you can not find an intermediate position but found it easier to preferred positions

(I do not notice this part, I do not see why I would note features, like "oooh noooo I prefer delay")

UTILIZATION

Walk in the panel sound this pedal is
1) both easy because it offers a multitude of possibilities and it will be very easy to get a sound that pleases quickly
2) and because both disconcerting given the number of possibilities, to put time determine.

Another point, this pedal is so transparent (though if it means something, it suggests and recognize your guitar's pickups, your amp, your string sound ...) that you can estimate when you know that the have tried with all your combinations of guitars, amps and pedals (even your distos / overdrive / fuzz / boost).

SOUND QUALITY

for the sound quality, plan kitchen paper.

the bluesy creamy ok
of aggressive rock, ok
metal demonic, why not?

to give you an idea, here's a little test overdrives the most famous market, which klon centaur, a notice which point the boiling point is retained in its capacity

it is, according to a test done with "great guitarists", the new holy grail of overdrive.

OVERALL OPINION

It's been 2 years now that I use and I confess the evil know as soon as I have a sound that I like I do not touch anything, and surprise, the knobs are never in the same place for both forward.

Previously I played a boss metal zone (less transparent ...), a mxr distortion + (less gain) on a big muff pi with tone wicker (less contour) on a gold edition Lovepedal Kalamazoo ( less aggressive) and a big muff pi op amp 78 (fewer options)

Besides the fact that it always surprises me, what I like most is that I can forget about it and stop thinking about stuff and really tripper on the sound.
