Use for 24 hours notice to be considered with caution
Many strengths for this device seems to succeed brilliantly R1:
Capturing the very correct with the internal microphone (for total immersion surround sound through stereo evil especially for moving targets, with a little breath still, it is well set the level of input before recording).
Ergonomics: The main functions are accessible on the case as the input level, the microphone gain, auto gain control, low cut (to reduce the breath out) output volume, the rec button, reading .. . The main information is displayed on the screen without it is to walk in the sub menus.
The object itself, two times smaller than the R1 (10 of 6cm), and very light maybe too much, which leads to weakness
Weaknesses:
Light, so probably fragile, and no protective case comes with.
Not come either, an SD card at least (let's be crazy) 512 m rather than the miserable 64 m equivalent to 5 minutes recording in 16 bits wave gracieusemnt offered by Edirol.
The reverb effect only available for reading from what I understand. What's the point?
I tried the M Audio MicroTrack and internal micro issue is no comparison with the Edirol so I forgot. My colleagues in radio uses the R1, the sound is good but a lot of gadgets, much more expensive, much larger and real manufacturing defects on some models. In response to a request for an opinion on the R1 R9 is not the poor.
The price / quality ratio is hard to judge. Rents have increased gasoline increased my income has not increased. But paid 369 euros somewhere in Lyon, the R9 has no competitors at the moment (it is always better than a good mic md more)
Experience using a few hours last night I walked around the animal (recording with internal microphone inside and outside, line in, wave and mp3 formats at 192kbps (the rendering is correct) USB connector (simplissime Windows XP), nothing to say at the moment and I had a great night.
