This is my second Audiotrak II and I use it for about 2 years before they had had an R11. Anything.

The copy on this machine is in my hardware and software ergonomics. Software interface completely intuitive. Two people from my family (not specialists) have purchased and are delighted. I think for the price is a bargain.

I also love its compact size and weight. It is a device that has been given to students in film school I was teaching in Toulouse. If evidence is robust.

Regret that his microphone is not integrated, they are not arranged in "V" and are not cardioid (much better stereo and spatial location). I think about the Olympus LS 11 they understand material that I expect delivery soon elsewhere.

A big gap in my opinion. It is not known exactly when the battery will give up the ghost and unfortunately it does not closed the last file before sunset! So last file before sunset irretrievably lost even if it lasts two hours! Hence the interest of achieving short files, especially towards the end of the battery.

If we do up the recording level with the microphones of origin and 4 / 5 or 5/6th, the recording sensitivity is quite sufficient and the breath is very acceptable.

The kind of gadget that covers the hair micro "T" on the photos is actually a neatly done in a glove polishing (ridiculous price in any supermarket) and ruthlessly efficient windy day. (Do not remove the foam eyecups).

As for the cardboard disc pinched just above (prototype cardboard Vache qui Rit) he can arrange a fairly efficient spatialization and spatial location of this very faulty microphone. (Listen with headphones).

This unit I feel this often enough problems of battery life. Damage. It was my first Audiotrack 4:30 gleefully if not more? My current model has never held more than 3:15! I must return receipt of the Olympus.

Little advice from? I always work with the limiter engaged. Perfectly efficient, but also ensure that the peaks of the modulation does not tickle because if it prevents saturation and distortion, it can very easily create a pumping modulation very audible in the background noise and bustle of the city example.

I have currently no intention to part with it despite my new purchase. It will continue to serve as my recorder out of my Yamaha MG124 (mixing music / drums). It does exactly that office.

It's a shame, I wanted to join two very short sound files demonstration but impossible to reach. One of these days maybe?
