«  Strong, lightweight, powerful! »

Published on 04/05/11 at 04:00
I use a pair of MK1 for a little over a year (they have about 4 years), and in recent months, a pair of MK2.

As I am familiar brands Mackie, Peavey, boost, Wharfedale. (EV listened Yamaha etc. .. but not well known)

On MK1, attention to volume knobs are very fragile! (Problem solved on the MK2 with the addition of a screw).
Otherwise no problem it's good stuff, it's light and powerful, precise sound.
In the negative, I would say the lack of bass (especially when on foot), then it is a ABS shell and is more or less made to be used with a subwoofer so it's normal!

The power to weight ratio is terrible, it's very easily taken anywhere.
Money, in the range of "active speakers light" is excellent! (477th piece)

It's very solid, MK1 out several times a week for users not necessarily experienced (rent to students), and this for several years, result: 1 dead knob (wear), a boomer death (wear?) cone exploded flag (misuse), 1 XLR exploded (misuse). Suffice to say that a pair that has a lot twice a week by a careful user can take it ... LONG!

I would do without hesitation that choice!
