j've tried a lot of models before the intel acquire D & FX AMDX2
value for the price is right since c is a product of recent, high quality and when you compare the price with an AMD FX is slower (999) we quickly made his choice.
if you go for the sub! a couple-DQ6 Gigabyte GA965P you a bomb to the audio
for comparative info: my old cpu was a 3200 + amd64 in cubase sx I win more than 50% performance: p
