« Zildjian 20" k custom dry ride »
Published on 12/03/02 at 15:00I purchased this ride about 3 yrs ago. I don't rememeber what the price was, but it was over $200.
I love the flexability that this ride has to offer. I bought it first to use in a blues band. But now I'm in a rock band, playing from slow rock to heavy rock. This ride fits all the situtations I have encountered. The best thing about this ride is the bell. It makes a sharp, loud bell sound that could make you deaf. It's almost as piercing as the Ziljian Mega Bell ride.
It actually performed beyond my expectations but somethimes I would like a little more livelier pingyness from a ride, but I have to remember, this is a dry ride, not a ping ride.
Zildjian states that this ride is of medium weight. But I think it's heavier, just ask my back. Excellent construction, solid made. Like I said, I've had it for over 3years and I've banged on it, crashed it and everything else, and the only thing that broke were my sticks.
I looked at rides for 6 months before I made my decision. This is a great ride for blues, jazz, and even rock. It isn't cheap, but it is a K Custom.
