Value For Money : Poor
Not bad ..

- Possible to connect a USB computer INTERESTED (also weird little groovebox offer this possibility),

- The factory sounds are blah, but traditional (TR 808.909, etc.) ..

- The possibility of large effects are trs, one would lose.

UTILIZATION

- The configuration gnrale Is it easy?
- The usual functions are they easily accessible?

These two issues are the joke of the day on the MC 909.

The mc909 is a concentrated .. of inconsistencies, redundancies, of little prs anything that does not affect the ease of the intuitiva Accs.

Report my exprience, I used to work on computers with VSTi. Everything is clear to gnralement can we know what we did. Unfortunately this is not the case mc909 .. quite the contrary. It comes even wonder if the designers have spent more than 30 seconds rflchir the design of the interface that links between man and machine, which is essential . Use the mc909 is like trying to paint a picture without a brush, it is possible, but remains difficult.

I do peus certainly not compare with the quality of other groovebox, since it is THE FIRST I have. For his defense, even when it's one of the better-see-what I read.

SOUNDS

Not bad .. The sounds of plants are modular means but trs. As can import / export via USB it quickly becomes intrssant trs.

OVERALL OPINION

In short, and this is only my opinion, the mc909 is a good machine when I have never seen a computer in his life. You can do a lot of things, but do book your journalists and your nights as the Prior ownership takes time, (too) much time.

Strengths:

- More robust than a PC (no or almost no crashes)
- Large opportunity at scultage of sounds, effects,
- Possibility to import / export sounds easy,
- A stand-alone station, everything is there for a title, Dumoine level design phases: prtraitements, inception, squencage, mastering etc. ..

Weaknesses:

- Intuitivit0,

- Potential incomparable a PC and a user expressed. Mc909 -> Stone Age. PCs are scrolls, in hard in soft .. Mc909 not, or else some trs.

- Without adding RAM + Card smartmdia the machine rev limit (in terms of memory / storage).

- Much too expensive for what it is. When compared with a PC + soft .. limit limit is ca ....

In short .. If you are buying a mc909, you never used to groovebox before and you work on your computer: Go your way, it is not worth the trouble. All existing effects are Grable with high configuration PC + VSTi well chosen.
