How long you use it?

For ten years or so, to several dozen nights a year.

I have 4 with a command "control 8". I use them now with Freestyler, the fixture is included in the download of the software

(Be careful though, they must reserve eight channels for it to work)

I'm very happy, I never had any problems with. They are very robust carcass with a very well done, a large mirror, a well-mounted electronics and reliable engines. In short it's solid.

Since buying them I only spent three light strings despite all the parties made.

There were 2 versions of this scan, one with DMX connectors on top, the other below. I have two of each.

Did you tried many other models before buying it?

It was my first scan at time of purchase. I have tried others since.

Certainly it is technically better (especially since there is only one wheel), but functionally they fill their roles perfectly, and unless you really need additional functionality, I do not see why I would change the

What is so special that you love the most, least?

As:

Reliability and robustness, and the white circle that serves me very powerful tracking and lighting for specific items (champagne fountains for example) or scan or use the white circles across a large room with no problem

The least: not much, if not can not have a separate color wheel, but I do not pass easily.

Otherwise they emit a hissing sound at startup, a little disturbing if there is no music, but we hear more of them are initialized or there is some background music.

How would you rate the quality / price?

For someone who wants a simple and reliable without asking questions, the value for money seems excellent.
Contrary to what I could read, on my side I have rarely changed bulb, and I clean them once a year, during maintenance of my equipment during the low season; and there is not much hose to clean every time.

You can probably do most comprehensive secondhand in other brands, but not as robust.

With experience, you do again this choice? ...
If I were to buy cheap scans of occas for use without asking any question, YES!, Especially as for making comparative tests with scans LED, requires a minimum of 80 watts for an LED equivalent power, and remain with gobo led two times smaller!

So suddenly I'm 4 and I think just keep them because I do not see what would justify to put money on the table for a few features not often used in practice.

Most people I see using the scans used in automatic, and people dancing laugh royally to have a gobo or palm-shaped vortex

In short we find little better, but at what cost, for which functionality and more, and how reliable?

To each his need to see really, its use will make the budget and he wants to spend.
