I bought this amp from a local music shop for around $450.
One of the major attractions of this amplifier is the built in effects. It has all of the knobs and settings that a normal amplifier has, but it also comes with great effects (phaser, flanger, rotary speaker, chorus, funk wah, echo, tremolo). You can pick which effect you want, and how much of it you want. You can have a single distant echo, or many echoes within milliseconds of each other. You can have just a slight tremolo effect, or an extreme one. The amp also comes with a foot switch which makes it easy to change from a clean sound to a distorted sound and to change back and forth between effects while playing.
My only possible complaint would be that it isn't bigger.
I've lugged this amp around with me to different jam sessions, school events, etc. and it has held up very well. It is still in perfect condition after owning it for about 5 years.
Overall, this is a great amp. It gives you all the standard features of a guitar amplifier but also adds in the cool effects. Buying this amp would be much cheaper than buying a wah pedal, delay pedal, etc. I am very happy that I bought the Peavy 112 EFX
