- 2 single coil pickups Fender Standard
- 1 humbucker Fender Standard

I think it may lack a cargo of more ..

Note that many pieces are also found on Fender USA: the hardware (hardware), microphones, knobs, 5 position selector, the body of the guitar and the wooden handle which is the same.

UTILIZATION

It includes the traditional Fender neck narrow (I prefer the sleeves type Epiphone, Fender handles are better for solos) and access to acute is correct without being exceptional. Weight: it is quite heavy, though! I am satisfied that there are heavier guitars, but personally I find it heavy. I still want you to know that I put the tie rod is 9 / 42. I have not changed the pickups, why change them if I want to buy a second guitar more typical rock / metal? Remember that these are the same pickups as those installed on the Fender American ..

SOUNDS

I play everything and I play with a Fender Princeton Chorus DSP. The pickups are very good and you can get a good deal if you know the sounds of a Start!

The humbucker was fishing, but not enough to the metal! (Is the Digitech Metal Master, which allows a sound to the metal with any amp, I used it!)

A Start has a very distinctive snapping sound, it feels all the microphones, on the other hand you can adjust the snapping with the tone knobs (that's what it is for those who did not know). I advise to put the tone knobs to about 6.

With my Fender Princeton Chorus (transistor amp by the way) are obtained crystalline and beautiful sounds slammin .. But we must not expect to have the sound distortion that kills.

I recommend this guitar for the pop / jazz / blues / rock / ska / funk / punk. So very versatile guitar!

OVERALL OPINION

Quote: I use it for 8 months, I like it a lot. This is my second electric guitar I got. The first was a Slammer by Hamer (I really recommend). I tried the Epiphone G-400 of the genre and Les Paul and the Fender Mexican HSS and HH. In the store there were two color Sunburst (610 CAD) and blue agave ($ 550 CAN, but I do not like this color). I took the sunburst with a maple neck (there was not rosewood). I think it's an excellent quality / price, it is worth the money (maybe more)! However, it has only 21 boxes, so a little limited for the solos. When I bought this guitar, I played mostly punk, rock, jazz and blues, so it was a guitar I was advised. on the other hand, a few months later I began seriously to metal, en bossa all the songs from Metallica ... this is where the guitar suited me the least. I continue to play blues, jazz, rock, punk and ... of Metallica! If I could (if I had money for), I would buy another guitar as more typical metal (Jackson, Ibanez), but I do not separate from the Fender because I love it!

It was my first opinion.

Quote: It was my first opinion, now I think $ 610 CAN, a bit pricey! Now, I would have paid about $ 500 CAN, not more. My regrets: his 21 boxes. It limits me a lot, because now my influences are Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Andy Timmons, ... and they often go up in the box and 22nd in half the cases to a 24th box. Let the guitar sustain unwanted low-end amps. So it is essential to have a mid-range amp or high end. And finally, it's not a very guitar oriented my influences (instrumental, rock, metal). So I think to turn to Ibanez.

It was my second opinion.

This guitar is extremely versatile (except for metal, I repeat). I will keep it because it is always very good and it's a mid-range guitar. But it is sure to join musical styles like hard rock and metal, I buy a second guitar, an Ibanez mid-range too. I currently have a punk rock band and I play the rhythm guitar, my Start is good but it is more typical for the lead. So maybe when I have money I'll buy the Gibson SG or Gibson Les Paul Custom!!

I put 8 / 10 for good quality of this guitar.
