I recieved this guitar for Christmas a few years back. I believe it cost around $250 in a Ibanez starter pack and $169 alone on musicians friend.

This guitar has held up a good two years of constant dropping and other abuse. The sound is what you would isn't the best in the world, but was more than what I expected from this low-end guitar. The factory neck pickup has a real nice tone, and the bridge humbucker has a nice little crunch to it.

I have had several small problems with this guitar from the begining. First, all the factory strings broke within weeks. The high E turner is abnormally loose. The hexnut on the output jack comes loose all the time and actually cause no sound to be produced.

If you flip this guitar over and take a look at the bolt-on neck plate, you will see "Made In China." That basically sums up the quality of this guitar, but you get what you pay for, and for the price, it isn't that bad of a deal.

Overall, this is a low-end beginner's guitar, but well worth the $169 you would pay for this guitar alone. I plan on playing my guitar until it falls to completely apart.
