I bought this guitar 2 1/2 years ago, and it was my first electric guitar. I spent about $275, which I think is a really good price for such equipment.

This guitar gives a really warm and deep clean sound especially when plugged-in to a Marshall amplifier. The combination seems to be perfect.
The fretboard gives you a comfortamble playing on chords and arpeggios and when you turn the distortion on it can produce very heavy sound.
A standard tremolo is also included and although it's not the perfect gear it can be very helpful for increasing the sustain on solos.

The bad things on it are: First of all this small buzz of the first double pick-up when you are on some effects(delays, flangers, fuzz), the absense of locks for the strings and the small sustain which sometimes is very annoying when I'm truing to play solos with lots of bending or tapping stuff.

It has the standard GRX Agathis body, 2 double and in the middle a single pick-up, 22 frets, a very solid tremolo bridge, but I would like it to be a little heavier.
I believe it fullfils the standards of a nice beginner model and has all the main features that Ibanez guitars have.
Sounds good on clean and distorted sounds, but you have to be careful with the volume when playing with the brisge pick-up beacuse of this annoying buzz!

I would recommend it to a beginner, and I believe it is a guitar that will last about 3-4 years. Reliable for bedroom or small audience gigs but I would try to avoid using it for a studio recording.

Believing that a guitarist improves through the years I feel that right now I need something better and I am ready to byu my first Fender American Strat.
