«  Very good guitar »

Purchased in Paris, France, the guitar has are Flycase staff.

This Ibanez has a Floyd Rose type bridge, specifically the Edge Zero tremolo. The adjustment screw on the back to adjust the tension of the three springs that invite confidence, and the system allowing the bridge to "regain its position zero", which is actually a counter supported by two other jurisdiction, does its job but beware: it reduces a lot of feel and accuracy of your effort over the bar. Personally I have deleted as casual player that whammy bar. Be careful also not to be a nag tighten the hex screws to tighten the strings are at the risk of splitting the trigger guard force.
Also note that on mine, he had not enough to hold the bar in position, it is mandatory floating, which is a bit unfortunate to price ... maybe it was just forgot about this one.

The handle is of type II Wizard, which favors broad sweeps, tapping and other techniques to shred. It has 24 Jumbo frets, a rosewood fingerboard and a white yarn, as well as marking abalone. The rest of the neck is maple with two extruded drowned.
It has 2 humbucker side and Neck Bridge, DiMarzio home, and a 5-way switch.

There is the bare minimum in terms of sound settings, namely Volume and Tone. Attention to the selector, which, on the Neck position, posed problems if we can play with further movement).

UTILIZATION

Handle very nice, however, requires that the type II Wizard is relatively large, and the type Jumbo frets uncomfortable positioning can make arrangements when you're not used to, but not insurmountable either.

The weight of the guitar is a very honorable heavy coat, it's balance.
Nothing to say about access to acute, the 24 th box is easily attainable without blocking on the freight slip.

The guitar sounds good, although the presence of Floyd could eat a can sustain.

SOUNDS

I play the style of Satriani Pettruci and it is ideal for this kind of style. The 5-way switch is a bit anecdotal, since I use a 3 position, but may be that by changing the DiMarzio with something else we could use them properly.

I use a Peavy Vypyr 75W, in a K-Stein, since it's a modeling amp, which is close to many a Rectifier in a bit more bold. Partner has a bit of reverb and a chorus adapted it all on the same amp, you get a relatively smooth and the guitar becomes a treat.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for almost 2 years, and this almost every day.

I already had the model in mind, I tested it on the job but it's not easy to adapt to the handle at the beginning when changing the type of handle (Yamaha Pacifica which handle much more narrow)

The varnish seems quite fragile: The oak furniture is the worst enemy ... I've lost and scratched the coating on the body, needless to say that it hurts. The most annoying is, Floyd oblige, having rid the blocks to re-string tuning, because often we use the Floyd in only one direction (so deep) and set screws come quickly to the bottom . So a board, loosen the screws up and is just 2 or 3 rounds maximum, to avoid having to redo the handling too often.

For that price, I'm not at all disappointed. The guitar is excellent, the body has a black patent shiny sequined very subtle and very nice that does not let the pictures found here and there on the internet.

I reselect this guitar without hesitation.
