UTILIZATION
The design of the RG seduced me right away and as always I like
This guitar has a clear varnish that reveals the wood grain, it gives a very authentic look. Moreover, the Japanese firm continues to leave the models in this spirit: the RGT220A example.
In terms of playability, the RG are references and this model is no exception:
The neck is fairly fast, with a rather flat profile. Access to acute is good but not as much as the Ibanez Prestige!
The body is biased to where the arm rests, which adds to the comfort of play
The vibrato is very flexible and effective, dive-bombing all the time fields do not pose a concern, the instrument is the agreement
The average weight allows long hours of practice without too much fatigue.
SOUNDS
To be honest, the original pickups are a little disappointing compared to the quality of the violin. I'm not sure but I think that these pickups and Ibanez INF3 Inf4 (Infinity series), which does not surprise me also because I never liked these pickups!
Well, the Infinity are still work properly and allow for some flexibility.
HH configuration gives a rather round and warm sound, full of psychics and a lot of bass, treble them were down, so it is difficult to get its edge, even in the bridge position with the tone knob 9. Remains to equalize the pay of the amp by boosting the treble.
The grain is fairly "smooth" and "smooth", the microphones seem to lack of attack ... Some will even blame their lack of personality.
These pickups deliver all the same sounds that I find interesting, they lend themselves particularly well to the rhythm as if to have a lot of attack, they have a good dynamic. The report notes that the Dead used to articulate the rhythm is the most beautiful effect. The sweeping sound great with the neck position.
OVERALL OPINION
For quite a while lent by a friend, I had the time to appreciate the instrument.
The impression remained me is pretty good, RG320FA is very comfortable, well balanced, its characteristics can play in many musical repertoires.
A guitar of quality and so versatile, but without going into excellence, especially because of its original pickups just correct.
