ToneZone

- Manufacturing korea, body and handle (driver) in basswood (basswood US). exemplary finish, not a defect! mechanical, violin, ergonomics ... very good, raymond!
- Handle 24 cases, 2 humbuckers (infinity infinity 1 & 2): an alnico, one ceramic pleasant change
- Lo-pro edge Chevallet two licensed Floyd (which I recommend to a beginner who is quickly angry. But like all things it takes practice and then it runs by itself). namely Ibanez is a reference with its lo-pro. very good stuff.
- 2 knobs (1 volume, 1 tone), 5-way switch with two positions for splittages doubles.
- Note: 2 pts less for cable connectors and quality potentiometers (and cables) poor and failing.
UTILIZATION
- Channel super nice, it's a treat! Fast, easy access to acute (what with my big fingers I type too much above 20).
- Ergonomics is classy, it's an RG series! it's beautiful, temperamental, it has a mouth, the muzzle is class. moreover, it is not heavy, not too light, you play standing, sitting, lying, doing abs .. nickel, marcel!
- For the right sound ?..... bah original mics are not bad. Bass is not bad for blues, the fever is rather dynamic and barred rock and with a great deal of presence. Obviously it does not sound like the EMG, the ibanez pickups are pretty average but not catastrophic. The output levels of the microphones are about 230-240mV.
- To make it sound really, prefer a couple Di Marzio (paf pro and tonezone for example) or seymour duncan (not know too much) or EMG. 1 point less for micro original ways.
SOUNDS
- Ben good ibanez is still well barred rock and more! but with this devil of a 5-way switching and switchage can touch everything! It's still great to switch a humbucker tonezone (370 mV) to get out of a clear lens (it also depends on the amp I agree!)! The basswood body highlights the low frequencies. when it is not connected we feel that the low and high frequencies predominate do not like a mahogany body. but each with its own vision of its sound, the question does not arise because it is played electric scraper connected, and there is a huge number of microphones in the unit with different characteristics .... so there is something for everyone !
- I play with a korg AX1500G pedal and two combos marshall VS100 (I will not change over time), and my style is a fusion-metal (mix between incubus and soad wholesale), so happy with the gear, fully in line with the equipment, due in part to switch to the splittages and terrible ergonomics
- Since I replaced my original pickups (which I installed on my epiphone SG) by di Marzio it has radically transcended my baby! it requires an expenditure in addition, obviously, but the result is here! even if the floyd lost a few harmonics and clarity, the neck-holds out the notes and the microphones (Di Marzio) walk to hell.
- The sound I like least is the sound when it is not connected, mahogany is a bit better out the treble, but this is not disastrous anyway. - 2 points for the original pickups.
OVERALL OPINION
- I use it for 10 months, I love his mouth, comfort, simplicity (2 knobs, one switch)
- The quality / price is relatively good, except that the electronic components were a little ridiculous, and for 700 euros, well, shit they could have made an effort!
- I tried a few models, I wanted this series and Ibanez RG (NICE), the one I wanted (rg2570) had to come from Dunkirk but never arrived ... I took it in a hurry and a discount of 50 euros and two sets of strings to compensate me for the wait, well I'm happy!
- I would do if the choice? Honestly I do not think (I preferred a series saber) I bought in a hurry without trying other (never do), and Floyd made me crazy. for a beginner, better focus Chevallet a tune-o-matic to get the teeth, even without the floyd later.
