My girlfriend bought it for my birthday. She paid 180$ can. dollars. It's trans-purple color. She bought it from my local music store wich i've been buying stuff for the last 12 years...(yeah, i own a couple of different guitas and amps)!

Basically, I love just about everything on it. The pickups sound heavy when I play it through my digitech rp80 effects pedal on my peavey special 212 amp.You can play very fast and hard on it and it won't even budge on ya! I've been a strat player all my life and boy does it sound like a fat strat!!!! I also added DPSD switch to add versatility to it and the result was incredible! it's like you've added 3 more pickups!!!

It tend to go a bit out of tune when put it to max test with the trem, but besides that, no complaints... oh, one thing: the pickups lack a bit of clarity ( single coils).

Very stable neck ( I once left it in the trunck of my car at -20c for two hours and it froze!!! got it indoors and played it aside a fire, it unfreezed, the neck stayed stabled. Didn't move a bit!). Good resonant wood (basswood body). Tuners look high quality and they're precise.

I've played and owned guitars that are 4 to 5 times the price tag of this peavey raptor exp and I still do but the only thing is that I keep comming back to it everytime so the others tend to stay in their cases... this is proof that you don't need to pay full price for a good axe!
