This is a Schecter Custom Stratocaster finish "candy apple red" rplique MODEL of the pageantry that Knopfler on the picture.
The plate is single-ply (see strato 1957) but not white plastic like on the Fender, it must be painted in mtal.
MODEL Has this made to order the unit and the United States in 1983.
The body is composed of a single block of wood (unlike some who are strato into two parts glue).
The handle is screwed Saddle Mouchet and does not touch again. Situs they are on top of the handle. The head bears the inscription "Lead Schecter Guitars"
The mcaniques are Kluson deluxe and beautifully reflect the agreement.
Three Seymour Duncan pickups, two volume and potentiomtres qualisation mtal in chrome.
Three slecteurs two positions instead of classical slecteur 5 positions.
The bridge is brand Schecter, a rod can be screwed vibrato.
At the rear, the plate is mtal chrom.
The weight of the lev is rather more so than a Fender.
UTILIZATION
The handle is one of the strengths of this guitar. Ms. APRS 24 years of use, the varnish is like new and it seems to rev extremely thick and "hard", the touch is exceptional and trs fluid (but see nothing with Ibanez, we are here in the vintage!). This handle is a real stake in the maker of the passages are absent.
Getting a good sound ncessite one thing: connect the BTE on a good amp. For me, this is a Fender Super 112. A Twin work (Obviously) also great.
SOUNDS
As a stratovolcano, it should all play styles: funk, blues, rock.
Obviously it is perfect for playing Knopfler, as it is to play the SRV (10-52 with a draft for more prsence one or two compressors and a tube screamer).
The Super 112 and a compressor enough to sound like MK.
It also sounds well trs funk rhythm, the sounds are relatively saturated prcis, except in large saturations, it is really not made for that.
OVERALL OPINION
I use this guitar since I bought it in 1989, she was 6 years old the era. Its handle is great, sounds trs idiennes stratovolcano, with an incredible clarity. I only regret the lack of roundness of the neck pickup, pais less than what can be achieved with some Fender.
I use it on scne, studio and rptition. Hardly anyone connate Schecter so it's always a bit due only leave those who approach it expecting to see a Fender. What they ignore is that we are faced with a real gem of violin, a strato revisits got to Mark Knopfler, in short, a wonder!
