Analysis:
At first glance, one notices an amazing level of finish. No, it's not my imagination, it is still above the normal folk guitars (prs custom, gibson custom, dean States, ect ...). A kind of super-short guitar or has been sanded, Results, licked, to perfection.
I can put it that [9] in this category. Although his first choice are wood, the electronic quality and exemplary finish, it lacks a more complete electronic with two tones and two volumes, making this guitar definitely excellent.
UTILIZATION
The handling of this guitar is in itself already the highlight of this instrument. Here the term "normal" is lost ... the guitar comes naturally curl up in your kidneys to stick to you.
The handle, a reference in the field, profile D, not too thick but quite wide, allowing a game in accordance comfortable and frenzied solos. ALL scratch that could touch this guitar told me the same thing: "the handle is a killer!"
The string action is pretty low and the intonation requires greater precision.
The junction with the heel is very organic and it can effectively play up the fret zero before the neck pickup.
Potentiometers perform their function on the race of their rotation.
The 5-way switch allows you to add possibilities to switch to guitar and potentiometers have a witness who can navigate the settings.
[10] It's high-flying guitar. The grip is instinctive and immediate. This is one of the many strengths of this instrument.
SOUNDS
When empty, the guitar sounds more powerful than any other solidbody guitar of this format. The sound is clear, structured and deep. We feel, moreover, very responsive to attack portends a great guitar for all that will have the momentum.
Connected, we are treated to a lesson of superiority. The Bartolini, original sound plan, walk between acidity and aggressiveness fenderienne, roundness Gibson, a medical laser accuracy with a significant gain.
The bridge pickup is very precise and cut each half interval audibly. Its grain angry, very natural and a little reminiscent of all that the guitar can give best and it can achieve high gain, allow large parties of pleasure and translate the depth of the instrument perfectly. The neck pickup, comes here with a more rounded (a micro blues behind), plus singing and softer in the attack. It can calm the excitement of her colleague and further increase the depth.
Note that if you are a player, the knobs have a great influence on the sound since a slight decrease in volume will cause an attack immediately softer while giving more heat to bring a small hand signal very fuzzy and nice vintage.
So the spectrum of use meets with no limits: NO LIMITS! And it's not a gag afien frustrated, it is a reality. This guitar will be limited only by that of your fingers. Rock / metal most angry and heavy to gypsy jazz, it proves nothing cutesy and radiates in all exercises.
[10] It is extremely rare that I put this note in this category! When I see a Gibson Lespaul was rated 10 ... what grade should I give this guitar? Maybe 12! Sound versatile, original, rich base and gain, but may be clear and soft crying. Sounds successful switched Ethernet. What more in the world.
OVERALL OPINION
The fully armed was an excellent guitar. The price of 3,500 euros may seem expensive. But the overall quality and the sound it gives off is still a hardening than what the market can offer for now. Only problem: Warrior has seen its reputation grow dramatically in states (several titles of best luthiers of the United States) and has halted production of the model considered, too accessible, too select. Now it is only possible to buy "customs" for prices exceeding 5500 euros blithely (and are in no way better than the latter.
For those wondering what the difference between custom and fully armed, it's just that the fully armed was not fully configurable. We had some colors available, some routing and some finishes and that's all. The Custom and much more customizable. And wood of the custom will still take from 20 to 40 years old. That's basically what makes schmilblick. But if you find a price that is not exorbitant, go for it. You will have a guitar that turns into the register of quality prs private stock, white bottle Gretsch United States custom shop, gibson supreme. At a price shaved hazelnuts.
Note again that this guitar is designed for professionals who want to stand out in terms of sound without ringing any competition and musicians who experiment, quickly raking in points on the original sound. This soldier has a sound that please, let it be said!
[10] The discharge of the round for many but not take you for a fool!
Complement 25.12.07
I spent this guitar was a fellow guitarist who has a lot of experience and I wanted to share with you his critics:
- Great set, you can play what you want, from tapping the craziest agreements with tears, the ups and downs boisterous, he tolerates everything
- The sound is incredible
- Flaw finishing at the base of the neck and body. The varnish opaque body trembled slightly at this point (behind the guitar)
- The sound tends a little too precise. For the vintage hardcore with a little runny, it's not completely up
U complement 12/07/2008
Despite many new tests (prs, dean, gibson, hamer, schecter custom shop, jackson esp, ect ...) I still have not found an instrument that is better.
Edit of 08/05/2011. I put some prices up to date. With the changes in the price of the euro I get lost myself a little in my argument.
