Published on 02/09/13 at 02:13This is a good month I installed these pickups on a strat house with flamed maple neck sawn quarter, rosewood fingerboard and alder body American Red. They replaced a set of microphones from a strat Eric Johson.
On another Strat I previously had the opportunity to use Kinmann, Fender 57/62, Fender CS 54.
From the first notes, I was struck beyond the warmth of sound, precision and definition of these pickups and this, along the entire length of the handle. Previously, there was always one or another area of the neck where the notes do not sound. In addition, all the nuances of the game but of course also reflected the imperfections, these pickups push you to improve and refine your game
Let me tell you that I am delighted.
And how I would do this choice! I will also soon set the order for my 50's Strat Eric Johnson maple fingerboard instead of CS 54.
The price is more than reasonable for hand wound pickups. Compared to industrial sets from the Fender Custom Shop, the supplement is thin but your ears will thank you for agreeing that little financial effort.
