Published on 07/21/12 at 05:35Symmetrical connections in jack, 4 dBu/-10dBv button, dual compressor / limiter / expendeur stereo, good visualizations, many adjustments, side chain. That's what interested me (except the expander).

Simple, nothing to say
SOUND QUALITY
I have not done a comparison with other things.
I use the Alesis or as backup compressor in mono, stereo sometimes (over head, 2 choeuristes, keyboards ...), and as a limiter on the master output to protect a sound somewhat weak. What I can say is that the limiter is effective and does not generate artifacts (or inaudible in a rock).
I'm not trying to do with the sound, just compress or limit, and that's impeccable.
OVERALL OPINION
I have since 2006. If I had to replace it, I would gladly make the same choice. For my use it is perfect.
