Value For Money :
Excellent
Analog mono compressor rack. Hybrid lamp / transformer. No PC edition XLR connectors for input and output jack for side-chain and the link for the treatment stro. No Midi connectors. The box is stronger than my Universal Audio 1176, but still weaker than my Joemeek Vintage VCEQ
UTILIZATION
I do not have the manual, but it did not seem really ncessaire: There are standard switches the front, three positions for the most part:-A for the type of attack: fast, medium and slow-A for the type of release: Fast, medium and slow-A to select what the saw-nitre-A displays to light / dye-A unit for the choice of treatment: St ro / Bypass / Mono Both standards knobs: Gain and Gain rduction. The edition is sound in the ear and feeling. I admit that the sound palette is quite impressive. My machine does purchase, so pretty old (from 1998 it seems).
SOUND QUALITY
The effects are those that I thought suprieurs get with such a compressor. I knew it not n'tait LA2A and its massive, or "twisted" on mdiums at times. The sound here is a little more transparent, the effects of pumping can be quite levs or not, and giving the latter case, we get very easy color a voice, a snare drum or bass "/> I am not after all the" exploration "of the machine, I will ask in the future ... complments *** EDIT *** 22/12/09 After months of testing, I had fun comparing the few compressors I have a home ... Between 1176, an old Joemeek an old dbx 160X, and this one: On one-battery, Summit is the one with the sound rounder and more "full" means any good, and all are still frquences l. .. To my surprise, it made the comp prfr of drummer ... The 1176 has more characters but PForm sound, then we find ourselves in such Gorillaz .... The Joemeek cot gave a more "English" battery, finer level as serious The dbx ... packed with a lot of transparency up to what is really hard to fit in, and came out a pretty color, but not that of the Summit .... On a Low-again, the Summit and dbx are the most transparent, but each of the four peripherals have their own color. So, depending on the cut, the 1176, or Summit, or the dbx who does prfrs by bassist ... On-the voice is still the same story is according to the pieces. Beware the 1176 of the voice gives a voice "distorted" when pushed, and we recognize that time a lot of the voices of some "grunt" clbres ... Ideal for a little bit bigger "small voice"! The Summit is a voice for the IDAL Norah Jones, and a mix of Norah Jones Complter I will return everything when I finish several mixes in progress ...
OVERALL OPINION
Used only a few days. I like its sound, and versatilis ... It is a beautiful 1176 home complment a UA instance ... I also possde Joemeek VC1Q I love despite its price well infrieur Bought used on this forum, Euro 1200 is a good qualitprix "/> So I do it again this election if I found that the price "/> Paul
