for the preamp, it has a phantom power, 90Hz and has a hpf for a knob compressor for the adjustment of the threshold ratio attack release and gain makeup.
the two slices are linkable or not.
The settings and connectors are well think so.
UTILIZATION
no problem to use, everything is logical.
SOUND QUALITY
Sorry for this so-called copy of 1073, but the preamp are soft, with a breath from 55db, c is very disappointing! ca lack of bass, and presence of base relative to the good old transistor types telefunken.
the compressor does not catch up, nothing exeptional.
OVERALL OPINION
I have kept two years before selling.
well I'm picky because I compare it to the more expensive gear and better quality (ua610, telef676 and trident 8t for the preamp, 1178, and dbx160vu ssl clone for the compressor) but I see no interest to have this type of Becane ! the preamp is not very good, and c is stupid to say, but the compressor is better than a Plug-in! 2 buy as much good preamp and compress in the box ..
contrary to all advice, I find that it is not on the professional, c is certainly a good entry-level, or even semi-pro, but we must stop to compare it to the neve or something. A slice at BAE 1073, only preamp therefore, will sell 1000th, should not dream ...
