Sorry for this so-called copy of 1073, but the preamp are soft, with a breath from 55db, c is very disappointing! ca lack of bass, and presence of base relative to the good old transistor types telefunken.
the compressor does not catch up, nothing exeptional.
OVERALL OPINION
I have kept two years before selling.
well I'm picky because I compare it to the more expensive gear and better quality (ua610, telef676 and trident 8t for the preamp, 1178, and dbx160vu ssl clone for the compressor) but I see no interest to have this type of Becane ! the preamp is not very good, and c is stupid to say, but the compressor is better than a Plug-in! 2 buy as much good preamp and compress in the box ..
contrary to all advice, I find that it is not on the professional, c is certainly a good entry-level, or even semi-pro, but we must stop to compare it to the neve or something. A slice at BAE 1073, only preamp therefore, will sell 1000th, should not dream ...
