« Questionable longevity »
Published on 09/16/12 at 23:32I bought this headphone in 2009 to the mix.
The construction seemed sturdy cable unscrewed and therefore replaceable was a good point.
In practice, it is very linear, but a little short to explore in detail what happens in the bass.
I happened to do a mix sounding very good in this headset, and I end up with a very boomy sound on the speakers ...
Engaging voice, as it is semi-closed, it repisse lot into the microphone.
What I like least is the leatherette (not to say the sky) covering the atria. This summer, in the studio, it was hot, and my singer found himself full of small pieces of plastic on the ears, neck, everything is left in shreds.
If it again, I do not buy, and I do not recommend it, shame because it has qualities, but M-Audio has not gone after the design of a headphone: it it can be used in real life, not just five minutes from time to time!
