I want to share my musical experience obtained in part by the high quality headphones.

- How long have you use it?
I use it for two months, having previously owned two Sennheiser (HD570 and a very old model whose reference escapes me) and an AKG K240 Monitor which are all inferior. (Cost less).

I use the Senn headphone amp with a tube in "Little Dot II", the source can be a Harman Kardon CD or Audigy sound card. I also use it connected directly to a portable CD player.

- What is so special that you like most and least?
First, the ergonomics are perfect. While it may be considered too "sticky" at first, especially when compared with the Senn hd570, which is very soft, it becomes clear very quickly that he is perfectly suited to the head, and we forget very quickly the presence.

Second, the sound is "superb" !!!!!! Even if he gives all his abilities on the classical music or jazz, his sound is also great for other music like pop or electronic music. It's really stunning. In comparison, the Bose high-end do not compete with the sound of this headset.

Finally, something made me hesitate to buy this headphone. I have read on various forums that it was difficult to amplify. So I was very surprised that it worked perfectly on a single CD Walkman unamplified. It is true that it gives all its depth supported by dedicated my amp, but the quality is still the appointment of a single cell plate.

Defects now. Mmmmmmmmmm, I think ......
If one can be. It is imperative to have a source of quality headphones to enjoy this. He has no interest with MP3 encoded at 128 kb for example ....
I also found some of my CD more deaf than with other headsets more lenient (as AKG). But the problem is that most CDs of the headphone!

- Have you tried many other models before buying it?
I hesitated before buying it, I wanted to buy a Beyer Dynamic DT 880, the forums are shared on the opinions on these two headphones.
So I managed to get a Beyer to pay: unequivocal result, the Beyer is certainly very good, but I find it far too aggressive in the treble.
I am able to listen to music 3 or 4 h with Senn, the Beyer get tired after an hour!

- How would you rate the quality / price?
The value for money is right. Although it is very expensive, but it's a great headphone. It is beefier. The cable is durable and can be changed (I saw that he was selling replacement Cardas cables).

Ultimately, I am very pleased to have made that choice, and I think my new Senn keep much of my life. His replacement will be a Stax, who knows!!
