The official site for more features.

The usefulness of a sub is not a show and it is essential in the studio who wants to hear everything and be able to work on the bass. Some are able to experience and mastery without it but we can not deny the usefulness of physically hear and feel the bass and sub bass. For those who have a suitable environment (no nuisance to neighbors or other constraint). We can only advise the purchase of a subwoofer.

CMS sub is quite large / bulky and quite heavy (23 kg). So do not plan the trip by public transport for transportation.
And the first time you listen to music / soundtracks with good infrastructure, there's enough there to be surprised and afraid. The feeling in the stomach vombrissement is very surprising the first time but quickly addictive on the other hand lol
But beware, a subwoofer is not used by everyone and it is due to close its former owner sold me with regret.

Otherwise, the connection is provided and well suited to studio work and aid proper positioning of the sub in the room for a comfortable and precise listening. It will look a bit before finding the right balance between sound and sattellites the box if this is happiness.

SOUNDS

The sound is full and clear and the sub is powerful. It does a very good job and it does not matter the musical style and hear out the whole bass spectrum that is well defined. The sub can sound very strong so for fans of electro returns guts no problem. But it can quickly hinder the whole family or people being close to the workplace. For serious traverssent all materials like butter (I'm exaggerating) So I recommend a rather subpac for those who want to "feel physically" serious if the yield is very comfortable and without the expense of clarity. Unlike other sub.

Since I have all of my sub mix gained consistency and the bass has not done me no bad surprises shots I played time / efficiency on the prod 'my mix.

A contratio of my relatives, who even though they clearly won since they took subs, were still regularly surprises when rendering bass lines, bass drums, bass tom etc.. I have not. I even just need to check my mixes to Sennheiser HD25 or other headphone. Because they are just right for me to check / tracker the medium of my bass lines, the level of energy / balance between instruments and test the intelligibility of the song. Because too much bosser balanced on pregnant sometimes you need to put forward certain frequencies with headphones to more easily identify elements.

But all points of view, the sub adds real value especially with CMS speakers as the sound balance is there and there's a good listening comfort with.

OVERALL OPINION

It will be a year that I can be. This is my first sub and I have no regrets because I paid a good price (500 €) it is good and it outperforms the few cheaper sub that I could hear in studios around me. My CMS 50 are for alot too.

All the pros are unanimous when the quality of the satellites and sub CMS and it is not for nothing. on the other hand, it is a fact that the sub is more suited to CMS65 and work with a subwoofer is not suitable for any home studio setups. In addition, new products are the focal unfortunately a bit expensive but it is justified in the ensemble (French and qualitative production) requires.

It is said that the price is forgotten and the quality is and it's very true with pretty high marks as a focal ranges (and other course)

So your only question should be, as I have the money? And is that my environment allows me? If so, it's just a matter of taste and see if you have the money for good sattelittes to add with a sub of this quality and there all ride and you will not need new plays before a sacred moment.
