Not bad.
This book contains lots of useful things for recording, organizing the home studio, home studio of different config, explanation of DIFFERENT tools (dynamic effects diffrent ...), the steps of a mix. .. Rglages few basic type of compression / reverb / qualisation for different instruments.
It talks about micro, but little of the sound recording (microphone placement ...), go for it rather see on the net and DUNOD "means of sound recording" by Robert Caplain, although there is nothing like trying DIFFERENT investments microphone is on the same instrument. This book is quite extensive so we only fly over certain issues (such as acoustic).

Most of the domain books are 80% and 20% blabla INTERESTED (and again), it is a good basis trs APRS what we can spend more books spcialiss (in fields of acoustics and the sound for example).
