The new subwoofer Christian Heil replaces the acoustics of the SB218. The Difference are numerous in terms of rendering and SPECIFICATIONS. This sub uses the HP dsormais nodyme magnet, allowing both weight and performance allg suprieur to SB218. De facto, the number of sub Necessary for giving a benefit will be lower, o save space in the semi non ngligeable.
This sub is more powerful than its prdcesseur, and this same low volume, roundness is o dj Submitted trs. Its bandwidth is wide with a-10db 28Hz.
Despite these advances, it is a box that I never really got apprcie. I find it much more prcis the 218, but it is quite dsquilibr. Submitted a significant bump it around 50hz, which takes precedence over the rest of the spectrum that is responsible for reproduction.
It is sorely lacking in impact around the 80hz. You may say, this may not seem be a default, given that the preset low pass for the pair with the vdosc or kudo, prconise frquence a 60hz cutoff (a sub sub in short). In the old couple vdosc/sb218, the attack came from the sub, even if to get the impact they taient can produce, we had to send level. In the current state of affairs, the vdosc has a little trouble down until 60hz, and punch of the new couple is much lower, compared the old tandem.
With the K1, this problem is rgl, the attack coming from the sub K1 in Mount 15 inches.
In conclusion, it is a sub that will rock your patalon, but for the punch and balance I prfrerais me turn to other references. He has I believe the default charges in low reflex (a lack of punch and a quick prsence the distortion reflex ports).
To qualify my opinion, and that you understand better my expectations in terms of sub, I prfre fixtures such as EAW SB1000 or martin wsx.
