Value For Money :
Poor
No problems, no problems, it works.
SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE
I installed it on a laptop (Pentium 4 2GHz, 512MB RAM) and it runs quiet.
CSR just takes a bit of resources but to be honest I can not find this feature amazing.
The sounds offered by this function are actually poor quality and some of my partitions they alter their understanding (especially with heavy distortion)
OVERALL OPINION
I am user of this software for a few days but I am very familiar with earlier versions.
There are actually some improvements, the key to my mind are:
- Rating and the overall presentation of the score / tablature (closer to those found in stores)
- Management of "copy, paste, select ..." who is now with the mouse with a "click / drag."
- Can enter the score through a MIDI instrument (keyboard or guitar equipped with a sensor) through the capture mode noon (note for note only damage)
- The small bonus rather insignificant, the wha wha.
It is very clear that Guitar Pro 5 is not very different from the version 4 except CSR and improvements that do not disfigure the software.
This is why it will not revolutionize the world of publishing tablature and, consequently, I think version 4 is still time before her to retire.
For just under 60 euros, we can please the publisher of Guitar Pro, Which means that I find this product a little expensive for what it is. A 40 euro 30 see why not.
To summarize:
The "plus":
-The various improvements mentioned above for ease of use.
The "less":
- Price
- The CSR is more a toy than anything else unnecessary, fun nonetheless.
