« Reviews CDJ-2000 Nexus »
Published on 01/03/14 at 05:10Here is the latest version of the CDJ-2000 Nexus which comes up with its new range of audience but also the mix (including the introduction here and SYNC MASTER buttons already known for some time on the computer systems such DJ'ing Traktor)
This board offers new opportunities for DJs to exploit the latest features that have been added to the plate looking for an even sharper and technical mix.
The SYNC offers a considerable saving of time because more tempo timing necessary.
The SLIP mode appeared on this latest generation will loop a loop "on the fly" (choice time: 1/16, 1/8, 1/4, 3/4, 1/2, 1/1, 2/1 , 4/1) with recovery from release, the position where you were reading (playback) before pressing the loop. This is very interesting to use if used sparingly, however.
Loop 4 time backup in case of sudden pulling (or unexpected) USB device provides additional security for the DJ limiting "clunkers" for allowing to chain on the other deck "in a hurry" without there has cut the music (it is never to have a white top on a black track world ...)
The display of the waveform and beatgrid for songs analyzed with rekordbox allows a better tracking and greater precision to identify Hotcues and other areas of breaks on a track.
Finally, the visibility of the screen has been improved compared to the previous generation.
In conclusion, a high-tech deck with a lot of functions to the peak of the technology repositions the "standard" CDJ's defined as the Pioneer.
