Published on 06/24/10 at 13:19Head lamps 60W, 2 channels, each with many boost / eq switch to: boost the gain, boost the treble (bright), bass boost
+ Presence control on each channel independent (big advantage ...)
In short, a little head well equipped, well thought out.
UTILIZATION
Simple. Peculiarity of the machine: a gain setting of the common 2-channel preamp.
The high range surpressor as its name suggests cutting the high frequencies. Suffice to say that with this setting, the treble and presence, we can refine the acute hair!
Z4 Footswitch rudimentary: we would love to control the boost up to double the canals and enjoy fast and all these "options".
SOUNDS
The Savage 60 provides a clean right, without particularity, it will be good pickups / effects to get out of something special.
The crunch is a rapper, with a rated crude rather angry. The attack is not dry but it sounds cool so far. Very impressed by the low saturation: a microphone and then split rather feeble, Savage still sends puree, bass boost thank you, thank you the overall dynamics of the amp. Its clear the weak attacks, big crunch punchy attacks on big! Strong point of the amplifier.
Saturation Engl typed: accurate in the bass hump in the high frequencies. Tremendous headroom.
Do not compare to the Fire / Powerball: the E630 is not specifically tailored to the metal unlike the latter.
A change lamps preamp was necessary, they sound very origins of incisors! Ditto for the cab at any V30, am better settle with another HP for a more open and warm. Attention therefore used stuff around if you do not want to sound too sharp.
OVERALL OPINION
What surprised me most during the first grip is that it rang on the first adjustment comes, it's the first time I feel this good.
Surely the amp of the most versatile of the mark, it can engage as well as the funky rhythmic riff heavy.
Evolution of Sovereign and out of production in 2002, it is now replaced by its comprehensive 120W version, same grain but less sweet, more sharp.
