All 60Watts amp head lamps 4x12AX7 in preamp and power 2xEL34 original mine mounted with KT88 Standby (2 versions available with a small flat so helpless for this version).
2 channels clean and distortion equalization common (2 gains series rhythm and lead) with settings of presence and volume two independent outputs 8 and 16 ohms on the back + an effects loop with volume control (Dry / Wet) and a line-out (Line out) and the output footswitch.

UTILIZATION

Configuration very simple, it is far from the dashboard of a Boeing 740 (mesa type) so everything is apprehended very quickly and the sound is great, but then very quickly there, and quite convincingly. Note the presence of multiple boost knob including a high range suppressor that acts significantly on the level of treble and midrange, which makes the whole very flexible and very responsive to the settings so it's all good. Only small downside to the equalization is not a common problem in my opinion because it bounces quickly to change channels while playing with the volume of the guitar which acts (as the guitar) as a boost and allows for addressing the potential of the clean sound of the amp even with the gain mounted at the bottom of rhythm and lead. I does still not the maximum for a detail that can be - for some users.

SOUNDS

I do not deprive myself of removing even the smallest flats on all of the amp in this category because the sound is simply incredible versatility of a disconcerting if not putting many amp I've experienced up to now. It clearly addresses all styles and always so clean. The clean sound can be warm and slamming at will as well as the distortion can be sharp, incisive and very heavy (the high range suppressor is for something), the crunches are great so much so that rediscovers the meaning of word and controls the presence and volume of the two gains that encourage flexibility. I read in a previous com 'was that the distortion of surgical precision, and I totally agree, it requires them to be very clean (which is not displeasing to us) and you make it good. I play an Ibanez Vai signature jem7vwh and as I quoted above, the volume of the guitar acts as a boost and the amp responds very well to changes in position of microphones ... In short, the opinion reflects the views only me but it's really very good only if you like grain ENGL which once again is doing very experience in this amp. Something else, it reacts very well to the pedals (as long as the plug into the loop) I use a TC Electronic Vintage Delay and I encourage all owners of this amp one day to test the combination, all talk about him well ...

OVERALL OPINION

I tried several amp before this one, with several brands including Hughes and Kettner switchblade to Triamp and the Mesa Boogie Dual and Triple Rectifier, Soldano, Randall and others, I would not say it is better (what is best after all ???!!) I would say only that my seduces with its grain, its versatility, its presence and he follows me in all styles that I approach while staying very faithful to himself (the grain) ... The price / quality ratio is obviously striking 800 to 900 euros on the second hand market (Yes because it is only now available in the market, which in my opinion is the only real downside, I will say one thing, why set up such a model?? the benefit of the 120 Watts version of course, but 60 is already a lot :-) So in conclusion, a choice to re- eyes closed, without hesitation ...
