«  A bomb or a storm »

Published on 07/16/14 at 07:14
Versatile amplifier (guitar, bass, organ) any lamp manufactured in the 1970s in the Netherlands. 200W provided by a double push-pull 4 EL503.
2 identical channels each with 3 inputs (guitar, bass, organ), 1 tone knob 4 positions (Tebble and bass, mid, trebble, bright), 1 volume, 1 bass, 1 Tebble.
The tone knob is extremely effective.
Not embedded effects.

UTILIZATION

The range of sounds is impressive as well with a guitar with a bass.
The bass is round at will, clear mids and highs present.
No need for manual use and tame the monster power (watch neighbors and speakers).

SOUNDS

I am fortunate to have found 2 matching speakers (2 speakers by 12 inches cabinet), which gives a stack (three body) with a height of 1.80 meters.
The sound palette is stirring as well with my Fender Precision with Lespaul.

OVERALL OPINION

After two years of use I am still convinced and impressed with this amp from another age.
The use of lamps EL503 is a major drawback (prohibitively expensive to find on the net).
Given its size it does not leave the rehearsal and concert I use a Laney with my Fender (RB4 head and cabinet RB115) much more transportable but the approach of Hurricane its fabulous (if I told you that this is a storm alone hence its name).
