Rhythmic Robot introduces Shortwave, an additive synth sound library for Kontakt based on short wave radio transmission sounds.
Shortwave employs a 4-operator additive synth engine based on sine waves and included two Interference Generator banks, each with 111 waveforms. You can apply several levels of distortion and sound “contamination”, modulation (LFO) with multiple random factors, delay/echo and vintage plate reverb effects.
A Glitch control is also included to create random patches and convolution responses are available, along with 49 factory presets.
Shortware requires Kontakt 4.2.3 and later, it is available for the introductory price of £24.95 instead of £29.95. You can listen to audio demos at www.rhythmicrobot.com.
