Reality Bass, the virtual instrument plug-in developed Swedish Iridium Iris, is now available in VST and AU formats for Mac and Windows.
Reality Bass can cover every rock and alternate music styles and features the main articulations and playing techniques (open and muted 5th, octaves, perfect 4th and single notes, strumming, bending, slap, hammer on, pull off, portamento, choke…) as well as distortion, fuzz and chorus effects and a pattern builder.
The bass used has five strings and you can control the velocity curve, attack and volume. Developer Morgan Sunkizt adds that some articulations can be triggered by MIDI note input or modulation wheel and the automation is supporte for the palm mute and bending.
Reality Bass is available on Mac OS X in AU format for $30 and on Windows as a VST plug-in for $36. You can also download trial versions from www.iridiumiris.se.
