After Barbara and her violin, Klaus Broz, her brother, played a 1743 Louis Guersan cello manufactured in Paris, for the second opus of Fluffy Audio Trio Broz series of sample libraries for the full version of Kontakt 4/5.
The collection features 6,217 samples, the cello was recorded with three mic positions on three and a half octaves. You get three dynamic layers for the sustained articulations, two types of legato including one synthetic, four round robins for the short articulations (spiccato, staccato and pizzicato) and you can filter and mix the three Close, Mid and Far mic positions (Schoeps and Audio-Technica models were used along with Millennia Media preamps).
Trio Broz: Solo Cello also includes a dynamic control engine, an external tool that analyzes the samples and imports data to Kontakt so that it can recognize the volume of the played samples and handle the transitions between samples for a more realistic result.
You’ll be able to control the accent, crescendo attack and glissando/legato via the pitch wheel and use 17 impulse reverbs.
Trio Broz: Solo Cello is available for 99 €/$109 at fluffyaudio.com.
