Amen Break fans can have a look at Mastrcode, where the DB-Force The Amen VST for Windows gives you the ability to rearrange and process the famous drum break, with a variable state multimode filter, filter and amplitude envelopes, two LFOs and an effect section with phrase, bit crusher, distortion and reverb. The break has been sliced and you can trigger each slice with a MIDI note (C1 – A4). DB-Force is available for free at www.mastrcode-music-vst.com.
For Mac OS X 10.6 and above, Audiomeals debuts its Multiplex quadruple vocoder VST. You can load to any of the four vocoders any virtual instrument in order to design your own custom vocoder using up to 4 sources, and send you voice to all the vocoders simultaneously while recording the output. Note that a dry/wet mode is available for the recording. Plus, each vocoder reacts to the input level, which can be adjusted using the threshold control. A 100Hz high-pass filter is present on the input and each vocoder includes its 3-band EQ. You can test this new vocoder for free until December 5th at sites.fastspring.com.
Have a great Black/Cyber weekend!
