Kyma address is not the same thing that addressing a synthesizer, by bringing home and reading a manual to learn how to use to blow constantly as controller or another key. OVERALL OPINION
One of the reasons why most do not realize that Kyma can do is precisely because Kyma is very open to many possibilities. Once in the hands, not Kyma that will produce the original is a user-to devote the time it takes! And that's what makes it different from a synthesizer.
From my point of view Personal, it is preferable TO USER to have sufficient knowledge in the field of signal processing that is a rather technical and scientific background. The use of functions such as arccosine or other various mathematical functions are not being at hand by accident. With the Kyma for about 5 years, I have increased my knowledge in parallel for other reasons. This allowed me to master certain decisions much for sound design. Otherwise I am convinced that the increase would have been slower approach with a 'thumb' and purely musical. While the sound design is allowed to the general public through all of the features ready to use in most products, Kyma does not underestimate the user, it gives the 'truth' of an art that actually depends mainly ingenuity and a level of mastery that does not come within a few days as you can get used to the traditional functions of a syntétiseur.
