You can get them loaded with all kinds of speakers but I chose to buy mine unloaded and put one warehouse guitar speakers veteran 30 and one warehouse British lead in it. The cab can be ordered with different grill cloths and in a variety of colors. Mine is black with the wheat grill cloth. The cab itself is built very well and bears a striking resemblance to the much more expensive Bogner 2x12. Obviously Bogner will not tell you if it is indeed the same cab but I would guess they are made by the same people. Opening up the cab shows how much work is put into making it tough. There are no big gaps in the joints and everything looks precisely cut. The front baffle is angled slightly upwards which really helps with monitoring on stage so your sound is not just blasting at your knees. Even when ordered unloaded they still send the cab with standard switch craft 1/4" jacks, good quality hook up wire, and nut retainers in the front baffle. It is really a breeze to install two speakers and start playing.
The cab being a little over sized gives it more bass response. I was worried it would be too much and get muddy with my main amp. I mostly play out of a Framus cobra tube amp and my past experience with an over sized mesa boogie cab was not all that great. I do not find the low end to be muddy at all with this cab. The british lead is a very neutral sounding speaker while the veteran 30 is similar to a celestion vintage 30. I get a great balance with this cab and speakers. Most of the time I run this cab on the opposite side of the stage and have my Orange 4x12 behind me. I have used this cab alone in smaller venues and it worked exceptionally well. It is hard to beat Avatar especially at their price point.
